Jim Carrey actor and comedian is going before a judge to be tried for the death of his former girlfriend Cathriona White who overdosed on drugs in September of 2015. Both by Bridget Sweetman (mom) and Mark Burton Cathriona (estranged husband).
Cathriona White was an on and off girlfriend of the comedian and actor. The two met on set while Catherine white was a makeup artist from Cappawhite Co. The Actor says he loved her dearly and there are pics that show him help carry the casket at the funeral.
Ok, so if you don’t know who Jim Carrey is: Jim Carrey is a very funny guy who’s carrier started on a show called IN LIVING COLOR where he played many different funny characters like Fire Marshal Bill and many others on an hiphop oriented prodominatley Black show. In living color birthed tremendous carriers once the show went off air. Jim Carrey is responsible for movies like Liar Liar, Pet detective, Dumb and Dumber and many many others. This is why he gets this attention.
The mom refers to Carrey as being “a nice young man” but then turns around and sues him. Cathriona overdosed on Ambient, Propranolol and Percocet. They are accusing him of supplying her with the drugs. Carries Lawyers argue that this “malicious” and “predatory”.
The thing is, she wasn’t murdered. She committed suicide from a drug overdose. It is alleged that she got the drugs from Jim Carrey! Not as if he were selling it but as he knew he had them and stole them from him. What it is is that the Family Of Cathriona are filing suit against him and the Judge is taking the case. Carry says he saw the family and mom of Cathriona but they didn’t start this until after the funeral. He let it be known he loved her very very much but she had her issues were long before him. The family is looking for some sort of compensation from her decisions. Jim acknowledges that this is a money thing..
