The Knicks are just 3 games away from IMMORTALITY

Tonight, the New York Knicks take the floor against the San Antonio Spurs in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, and I don’t care what the national media says — this is the Knicks’ championship to lose. For months, the basketball world kept moving the goalposts. First, they said the Knicks couldn’t get out of the first round. Then they said they couldn’t beat Philadelphia. Then they said Cleveland would expose them. Instead, New York steamrolled through the Eastern Conference, winning 12 of 14 playoff games and arriving on the NBA’s biggest stage looking like the most complete team in basketball. This team defends, rebounds, shares the ball, and most importantly, has the best closer in the Finals. While everyone is busy talking about Victor Wembanyama’s future, Knicks fans are focused on the present. And the present belongs to Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks.

Here’s The Kicker, let’s be real..

The key matchup in this series may be OG Anunoby versus Victor Wembanyama. All season long, OG has been one of the few defenders in basketball capable of making life difficult for the Spurs superstar. His strength, discipline, and ability to fight through screens have consistently forced Wembanyama into tougher looks and uncomfortable possessions. Nobody is “stopping” a player that talented, but Anunoby has proven he can make every bucket feel earned. If OG continues to defend Wembanyama the way he has all season, and if Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart continue creating chaos on the perimeter, the Spurs are going to find out quickly that New York’s defense is unlike anything they’ve seen during this playoff run. The biggest concern for the Knicks is the injury to Mitchell Robinson. His rim protection, rebounding, and physicality would have been a massive weapon against San Antonio’s frontcourt. Losing him hurts, especially against a team with Wembanyama’s size. But if this postseason has proven anything, it’s that these Knicks don’t make excuses. Every challenge has been met with someone stepping up.

And that’s why I believe the Knicks are winning this series. Not hoping. Believing. This team has the toughness of the 90s Knicks, the chemistry of a championship contender, and a superstar point guard playing the best basketball of his life. Madison Square Garden has waited 27 years for another Finals appearance and 53 years for another championship. New York isn’t just excited — it’s starving. Gotham can feel history approaching. If the Knicks take Game 1 tonight, the pressure immediately shifts to San Antonio. Brunson is built for these moments. OG is built for these moments. Hart is built for these moments. This entire roster is built for these moments. Three more wins and they become legends forever. Four more wins and New York erupts. Four more wins and Jalen Brunson may complete the greatest individual legacy transformation in Knicks history. Knicks in six. Book it.
