Lifetime has an 3 day series titled “Surviving R Kelly”. The show is a panel of the women that accuse him of sexual and mental abuse. Among them is the #METOO founder Tarana Burke along with the R.Kelly accusers Kitti Jones, Jerhonda Pace, Lisa Van Allen and Asante Mcgee t present to share their side of the story. However, according to reports, the screening was put to a halt because there were not 1 but 2 anonymous phone calls to NeueHouse Madison Square in the Gramercy area of Manhattan, where the event was held and Police had evacuate the building because the anonymous call stating that someone in the studio had a gun. The calls routed to the NYPD and the evacuation occurred.
Tarana Burke tweeted about the incident “didn’t seem to be credible” and took to Instagram and wrote “I am unnerved. I can’t believe these intimidation tactics but we will prevail” with the included hashtag #MuteRKELLY.
