GRAMMYS ARE COMING BACK TO Madison Square Garden in 2018!!

According to the NEW YORK TIMES. ,  N.Y. Mayor Bill de Blasio has made agreements with CBS, The Recording Academy and with executives from the legendary  Madison Square Garden to bring the Grammy Awards back to N.Y. for the first time in 15 years!! With months of negotiations between said companies and entities labor unions and the academy. 

There is no better place for music’s biggest night than the world’s greatest city,” said Mr.de Blasio. Brining these awards back to N.Y. will allow us to  further support and foster the music industry in New York”

 

Julie Menin was appointed the commissioner of the Mayor’s office of Media and Entertainment with that move he also added music, publishing, advertising and digital media to the agenda. Ms. Menin also underwrote $30,000 for free rehearsal space for musicians!

The Grammys will be extended to a full week of conferences and other events! It’s also said that the Grammy awards generated $82 million in benefits for L.A..
