Miley Cyrus sued for $300 million for infringement ?!

Miley Cyrus is being sued for $300 million for her #2 billboard charting song titled “We can’t stop” back in 2013. The person suing her is named Michael May a.k.a Flourgon! Flourgon is a respected artist that had a hit named “We Run Tings” that reached #1 on Reggae charts in Jamaica back in the 80’s. Flourgon and his team is now suing RCA a Sony owned record label for the infringement. Flourgon is claiming at least %50 of the song consists of his material. The term being used is “misappropriating” according to reports.

 

The song appeared on Cyrus album “BANGERZ” that debut at #2 on Billboard charts top 100. Flourgons team says that the case is worth $300 million. Michael May a.k.a Flourgon protected his work with U.S. Copyright office  the last year and won “formal copywriter protection” in November of 2017 for all of the musical arrangements in “We run Things” according to reports. May is also looking to stop further sales and performances of the hit song as well according to reports.
